Educating with Heart and Excellence – Wolgye-dong’s Beloved Hagwon Since 1997
해먼드 학원의 시작은 1997년 지역의 어려운 아이들의 교육을 부탁 받으며 시작됩니다.
여러 부모님들의 부탁으로 김재영 선생님은 "월계동 공부방"을 열어 중,고등학교 전과목 수업을 하셨고, 그의 아들 김상우 선생님은 어머님의 영향으로 고등학교 때부터 다른 학생들을 가르쳤습니다. 월계동 공부방은 25년 이상 수많은 아이들을 교육하며 단순히 공부를 가르치는 곳이 아닌 마음으로 아이들을 생각하는 지역의 공부방으로 유명해 졌습니다.
그리고 2023년 저희는 HAMMOND학원을 설립하게 되었습니다.
Hammond Academy traces its roots back to 1997, when the community entrusted us with the education of underprivileged children in the area. At the request of many parents, Mr. Jaeyoung Kim opened a small learning space in Wolgye-dong, offering classes in all subjects for middle and high school students. Influenced by his mother, his son, Mr. Sangwoo Kim, also began teaching other students during his own high school years.
For over 25 years, the Wolgye-dong study room has educated countless students—not merely as a place of academic instruction, but as a space known in the community for caring deeply about each child.
In 2023, we officially founded HAMMOND Academy.
